Bush Tucker Tours was one of those experiences that stays with you.I was in awe of the depth of knowledge not only about native plants and bush foods, but also the history of the area and the stories connected to the land.Getting to taste native tucker made it even more memorable. Crocodile, emu, kangaroo and a whole range of native plants I couldn’t possibly name now but I certainly remember the experience.It was fascinating, generous, incredibly informative and completely unforgettable. We went on the Bushtucker wine tour on Saturday and had an absolutely awesome time. I was with two girlfriends and we had so much fun. The group were great fun and Maureen who picked us up from our accommodation told us some Margaret River history before leaving us in the capable hands of Pete who showed us some delights in the region as well as a wonderful traditional bushtucker lunch. This is the third time I’ve done this tour and I will always choose them. Thank you to Dave for getting us back to our accommodation safely. I have come home with lots of wine and other goodies from that trip. The only negative is my bank balance!! I highly recommend this tour. - 1 month ago

We had a great day canoeing up the Margaret River. Dave our guide was amazing...very knowledgeable and passionate about the local history and wildlife. The food was delicious and Dave explained in detail to us how it was gathered and prepared. We had a fun bunch of people to share the experience with. We didn’t swim due to the colder weather but it’s easy to see how much fun that would be in warmer weather. Definitely recommend. - 3 months ago

This excursion was a highlight of our 5 day stay in Margaret River. Helen was so experienced, knowledgeable and lead us along the river in a gentle fashion that suited our large group of 14. Even though our canoe zig zagged up the river we laughed along the way. We loved the history of the region that unfolded along our river row. The bush tucker was another level all together. Beautifully presented a variety of bush tucker food that made our mouths water. An overall fabulous day out that I’d highly recommend to any locals or visitors to the region. - 3 months ago

Yesterday we enjoyed one of the best wine tasting experiences Ive ever had. ADAM our tour operator was very impressive with his knowledge of the region, the wine and the bushtucker.The vibe was great, visiting more boutique wineries that all had award winning wines. We sampled and had croc, emu and kangaroo amongst many different varieties of Australian fruits, and herbs. There was chicken and beef for the less adventurous.The nougat and chocolate inclusions were phenomenal, along with a visit to a distillery and a beer brewery. All places we visited were stunning and easily could have been wedding venues.All in all it was the best experience for us. We are a younger couple and wanted to avoid the snobbery associated with intense wine culture. We hit the nail on the head. Made some new friends along the way and got invited to a wedding. We ended up eating dinner with all our new friends we are now called “The Adam’s Family”THANKS ADAM AND THE BUSHTUCKER FAMILY. - 3 months ago

Booked over Anzac weekend , with all the chaos of the WSL Margret River pro going on , we still enjoyed a great Canoe experience , Emma our guide was amazing , very informative she shared interesting stories & facts we never new about this place , she bought a calm and peace to the tour that made us feel comfortable, the bushtucker food half way through the tour was a nice experience full of flavour & some interesting foods to enjoy , definitely recommend 😃 - 4 months ago

Unforgettable day for all the right reasons. Helen the owner gave us an action packed experience. It was fabulous, we were told about the history of tye area . Adam took us to some great wine estates a chocolate factory, brewery and a distillery.. great full day.Lunch was a small snack but I came away liking kangaroo meat🤣 not emu or crocodile meatWe came away with lots of friends from different countries, some we will meet in the future.Thank you for Helen, Adam and all the team for giving us such great memories. Grateful to have had an amazing day run by tour guide Adam. My partner and I were picked up from our accommodation, followed by others being picked up from theirs. The day was filled with various wineries and other experiences, including a brewery, nugget factory and a chocolate factory. We booked a wine tour with Bush Tucker tours to show our friends from Texas different type of wines and drinking spots in margaret river and i would highly recommend booking a tour through Bush tucker, not only was excellent customer service from the staff in the office assisting with making the bookings for our group but on the day the guide we had was amazing. Rhys was so much fun and ensured we all had a good time experiencing the different spots and also took the time to hang out and talk to us at each spot. Also he made sure to drive us home past some known spots that kangaroos hanged out so our friends could actually see one in the wild. Was a great time and such a good day spent out. - 4 months ago

Wow, what a fantastic day on the Bush Tucker Canoe Tour!! Cannot recommend highly enough!!!12 years ago I did this tour with my visiting UK family and on their recent trip back to OZ it was THE FIRST thing they wanted to book as they wanted to take their kids and it did not disappoint!!! An amazing day for all ages, Helen at Bush Tucker Tours is energetic, knowledgeable and incredibly passionate about the history of the Margaret River. From the moment we stepped onto the bank of the river the fun started - tasting native bush plants - before paddling up the river! We jumped off giant rocks for a cooling swim, and were treated to the most amazing spread of “bush tucker foods” on the river bank, we all ate everything - even the fussy kids!! My husband who is not a fan of “touristy trips” absolutely loved the tour, a perfect balance of information, fun and food, all curated by the wonderful Helen!! This is a MUST DO trip for locals and tourists alike! 5 STARS from our party of 8, a real highlight!!! - 4 months ago
